Richard A. Brevogel was born Ankara, Turkey and raised in Massachusetts, California, Japan and Italy before moving to New Jersey in 1970. He worked for JCP&L as an engineer eventually becoming the Director of Line Operations before leaving in 2002. He was hired by the Township of Willingboro, in 2003, as the Assistant Superintendent of Public Works. Mr. Brevogel was appointed to the position of Director or Public Works in September 2006. He was also appointed as the Township Deputy Manager in 2013.
Mr. Brevogel is a 1986 graduate of Trenton State College where he received a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. He is also a 1990 graduate of Monmouth University where he received a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA). He is a Certified Public Works Manager (CPWM), Certified Public Manager (CPM), Certified Recycling Professional (CRP) and is currently pursuing designation of Certified Municipal Finance Officer (CMFO).
As Director of Public Works, Mr. Brevogel's goal is to make training, educational opportunities and modern technology available to all employees. In addition, the department has been proactive in leveraging shared services agreements and focusing on value added work for the municipality's residents. This will enable the employees to provide the best customer service available to the citizens of Willingboro.
