On, Tuesday, May 16th, the Township Council, administrators, and staff welcomed students from Willingboro High School in observance of Youth in Government Day. Fifteen students from the high school spent the day shadowing directors, gaining insight into municipal policies and procedures, and exploring career options in municipal government. Later in the evening, five students returned and hosted a mock council meeting, mirroring the roles of Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Councilmen, Township Manager & Township Clerk.

Youth in Government Day is an annual observance, geared toward providing high school students with an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of local government officials and staff.
